We have been home recuperating for a couple of days now and today (day 3) is the hardest one yet for Baby Jax. Monday he had his tonsils and adnoids out and according to the dr, anethesiologist and all the nurses who stopped by to see him he "should be the poster child for the procedure." As soon as he woke up from the surgery he was asking for an "ice pop" so he got one, got some meds he fought and soon after started falling asleep. Holding his Ice Pop nonetheless. Every time he fell asleep he dropped it and cried (the only time he cried while we were there) and the nurses brought him another one. He went through four ice pops but only ate one of them the whole time. He just wanted to fall asleep holding one and wouldn't let us take it. By the time we left there he was jumping in his crib, talking up a storm, had drank a juice box, sprite and some ice water, eaten a jello and of course his ice pops...then it all came right back up. So we had to start all over again. But when it was all said and done it was a routine procedure day and we had a snuggly boy who will feel better soon.

Today day 3, he is having a really rough day. He still hasn't gone poopie since Sunday and every time he tries it hurts him so bad. I have tried Karo, apple juice, pedialyte, and even a suppository and nothing is helping this sweet boy. I hate to see him in pain and I think it hurts him worse to not be able to go potty than it does his throat. Any tips are welcomed!
Thanks everyone for the prayers for a good surgery and speedy recovery.
