We started Halloween off early this year. At Makynzi's gymnastics class they were had a party and got to wear their costumes. She was a Dr. this year and when she was asked what kind of Dr. her reply was " The one with the high heels off Mommy's Tv." After some prompting we realized she was "Addison off of Private Practice" How cute is that! Jaxon was the cutest little scare crow I have ever seen...doesn't he look so scary!
Makynzi chose a mouse on a house eating some candy corn to be on the pumpkin this year but the size didn't go well so she changed her mind and picked this one. She even touched the insides WTG girl!!
Halloween was SUCH a busy day! But it was a lot of fun! We got up and had a big breakfast, courtesy of my hubby, to tide us over then headed out bright and early to a festival. Don't you just love festivals? I think they are my favorite thing about the fall...well and winter. There is at least one every weekend and I LOVE THEM!!! Monty and Bapaw were talking and decided I could find us a festival to go to during a hurricane....now that's a challenge I'm willing to take LOL. O but back to Halloween. Makynzi is loving having her face painted! And has had it done up so many times lately. That's her favorite thing about all the festivals is the face painting booth. Here are a few of the different faces of Makynzi from this month's festivals.
Another of her favorites is the Cake Walk. And she has won 2 cakes in the past week! WTG Makynzi!! One at a benefit festival (pix below) and the other at the Church festival.
Jaxon just hangs out in the stroller and chills.
After we left the morning festival we did some running around we needed to do, came home changed the kids into their costumes and headed out to the festival at our church. Where Makynzi didn't get her face painted but got butterfly tattoo's on her hands instead. She is loving butterflies!
As a matter of fact, totally off the subject of Halloween...at mom's the other day she was so excited looking at all the caterpillars and cocoons in the flower bed! She can't wait for them to turn into butterflies....
Back to Halloween...After the festivals we Trick or Treated in the neighborhood. Makynzi didn't really want to but she was so proud to show Jaxon what he needed to do and say! She's such an awesome big sissy!!
Our evening ended when the kids finally crashed out around 11:30 after sorting and resorting all the candy! Super fun night! Wish everyone could have been here to watch them trick or treat!
