Merry Christmas!!!!!

[singing] "It's Christmas time in the city...every where we look!"

Not only that but it's Jesus' birthday and we get to celebrate what an awesome God we have and be thankful that He blessed us with Jesus and then gave Him up so that we could be forgiven over and over. What better gift could we ever be given?

Awwwww...I love Christmas time! I mean what's not to love! The tree, shopping, decorating the house, shopping, family time, shopping, endless parties, shopping, making cookies, shopping, wrapping gifts, shopping and opening presents and then did I mention the SHOPPING? Christmas has to be my favorite time of the year. Everyone, except for the Bah Humbugs are in the Christmas giving spirit and so happy. We get to decorate the tree and house (except this year the lights shorted out so back to Hobby Lobby they went). We get to wrap and unwrap presents and watch the kids eyes light up when they do it!

Makynzi only asked Santa for 2 things this year. A Dora Set (Swing Set) and Batteries (yes batteries! She said for her toys that don't work.) I know I know mean mommie, when the batteries die we say the toys broken....guess it won't work anymore since she got her batteries! Seriously she got a 50 pack and 2-4 packs! Santa took her seriously on the battery thing, well Nana, Pepaw, Bapaw and Uncle Ronnie did at least. As for the Swing set, this is how she looked after coming into the living room and seeing that Santa didn't bring one.

And this is how she looked after going in the back yard and realizing that Bapaw did though!

I'd do anything to keep her smiling like that at all times! What mom wouldn't, and really so what if that means I would spoil my kids but as long as they aren't horrors I really do not see anything wrong with that. She's so sweet that before Christmas came she went through her toys and helped get some together to donate for kids that don't have any. Now how awesome is that!

Christmas here isn't just a day it's really a whole week! We started this year Christmas Eve and finished up on the 27th. And every day was just as fun and eventful. I love Christmas time, my tree is actually still up right now because I love it so much. I think it would be okay to leave up year around don't you ;) Actually I did read somewhere yesterday when researching when to take it down that some people leave theirs up until Easter! Wow! Is what I had to say to that! It seems the norm is to leave it up until the 6th since that is when the 3 Kings brought their gifts to Baby Jesus. Google says that if we don't leave it up until then the Kings won't know to bring their gifts, and I think that probably means bad luck for the year so ours is staying up a while longer. At least this way it will still be gorgeous for New Years Eve.

Here are some pix from our Christmases!

Decorating the trees: First we decorated at our house, then Makynzi's tree at Nana's and then the tree at Nannie's house. Yes we do love to decorate trees!

The kids and their grandparents:

Santa Pix are always a fun time!

Watching Santa pass on the Fire truck...it was BRRR outside!

And some from Craft times: Making Reindeer food and hand print ornaments of the kids. We also made Christmas cookies, candles, cards and other ornametns we don't have pictures of.

Santa Cookies!
Everyone knows Oreos are Santa's Favorite!!

Stay tuned for Christmas Morning Pix!!
