Summer fun!

Summer started off with a bang as usual. But this year besides having VBS we also have Swim Team and Girl Scout Camp.

This year was Sissy's first time in the big kid church for VBS and Jax's in the preschool one. I was his teacher and let me tell ya, a class full of 3  year olds will make the day fly by

The kids raised money to send to Haiti and so Mr. Beaker (who Jax is so scared of) got covered in all kinds of goop

Swim team is going great and we are all loving it! Makynzi's has actually beat her times over and over again and is going to be sad this is the last weekend of swim meets but happy not to leave the house before 7 every day. I'm hoping they will start sleeping in. We were up at 5 this morning! I mean come on kids it's summer!!!!

We even had a "surprise visitor! The kids are always so excited when Uncle Bubba makes it into town.

Girl Scout Camp is this week and so Jax and I have been spending the days having fun while she's there. He sure does miss her when she's gone and got used to her being home already. Each day at camp it's a "crazy day" Can you figure out what the crazy day is from the pix below?

Day 4 was Crazy Sunglasses day and she looked super cute in her sunglasses, as did Jaxon, but I only got a pic w/ my phone

Day 5- last day of camp

Jax is such a big helper! He's even took in the recycling for me Wednesday and yesterday he helped me w/ the mopping. 

 And lookie what we found after coming in from the library! It's name is "Spikey Frog" and he's living in our backyard until we take him and let him go at the bayou this weekend.

 We caught an Opera storytime this week and the Puppet Lady at another library storytime. They loved the puppet lady! We thought we had to be there 30 minutes early to get a ticket- yes a ticket to go to a library storytime! How crazy is that, but at this library you have to be there an hour early. We got lucky and there were 2 tickets left so the kids and I got to see the show. They only let in 100 kids.

 Tball season is officially over and he finally got his trophy, I tried to get a pic of him when he was getting it but the bobble head popped off as soon as it came out of the box so here's Jax watching his Daddy fix it.

Well, that pretty much sums up our summer so far. We have the last Swim Pep Rally tonight, I'm off to fill up 200 water balloons for it right now. Tomorrow is the Divisionals Swim Meet (last one of the summer). Then Monday is the team party. And Swim is officially over and it's time for just Play Swim! And lost of fun.
