This year for Vacation we spent a week in New Braunfels w/ Uncle Bubba, Nonna, Pepaw, Aunt Shannon and Sean and the kids (and not so little kids) loved it! Really! We would move there if it wasn't such a hassle, and we wouldn't be leaving Bapaw after he moved close by us. The land is gorgeous, the water fantastic, the weather is not humid like here and the people were just so nice! Maybe b/c it's tourist season and they know it brings more money or just maybe because it's not a big town. But we looked at some houses in the area and luckily they didn't meet our criteria and believe me! This time I have a list of what we I want in our next house!
We were supposed to be at the condo Monday through Thursday but since Uncle Bubba was there anyways we went up a day early and spent extra time with him and checked out what deals the outlets had to offer...how can you go to New Braunfels w/o hitting up the outlets....or a river!
And river we did plenty! Sunday after the outlets Uncle Bubba, Monty and the kids jumped in the water at a cute little park we found last time we were there before we went out to eat. I knew we were heading to a nice restaurant so chose not to get in that day.

Playing in the Gruene General Store. If you haven't been this store was so neat! It had books that have been out of print (Lil Black Sambo), lots of toys the kids could try out in the store, an ice cream bar in the front, lots of touristy stuff of course, samples of like 10 different types of Peanut Butter and about 15 different Honey Butters! I loved this store! And managed to get out spending $0.51 to smash a penny.

As soon as we got into Schlitterbahn, Uncle Bubba found two tubes laying by the first ride and grabbed them and got in line w/Makynzi. It wasn't busy yet so by the time Monty got a mesh tube for Jaxon the few people behind Makynzi and Uncle Bubba let them jump in front so they could do their first real ride together. And they loved it and were ready for some more!! Good thing we were there for about 10 hours!
