Thanksgiving weekend is over! Whew! Was it a busy one! We had our first Thanksgiving at Mom's house last weekend because Bubba was able to come into town and spend it with us! Monty was hunting with Tyler so he missed out on the yummiest food but he has been wanting to go for so long and had a blast!!
Our cousin Valerie, whom we haven't seen in years, and her husband joined us as we ate and played w/ the kiddos! Makynzi had so much fun taking pictures and reading in the fort we built. Neal even climbed in there and read with her too!
Our next Thanksgiving dinner was on Wednesday at the Schattle's because Shannon had to work Thanksgiving day. Another day of yummy food. What is it about Thanksgiving that makes you so full and tired...the turkey of course and all the pies following! Or maybe that's just what makes you chunky and the family makes you tired? Either way the kids were ready to pass out by the time we made it home after playing with their cousins.
Thanksgiving day we took off for Dallas and spent the weekend there with our Dallas cousins shopping, playing and partying for Kathy's 50th! Isn't it funny how as we get older our partying changes? Used to it would be clubs and now it's kids parties, 50th birthday parties, weddings and retirement parties LOL. But they are still just as fun, even more so because the kids get to play with all their cousins and we get to visit and not wake up hung over then next day!
We headed home on Sunday and the kids were so tired they slept almost the whole way! I would have too but Monty needed someone to navigate of course ;)
Here are some random pix from November as well.
